Editorial Policy
This policy defines how PlayIndex research should be collected, reviewed and updated. It is an editable production template and must be approved by the final legal company before launch.
Evidence and sources
Material claims about operator identity, licence scope, access, payments, terms and responsible gambling controls should be supported by current primary sources wherever possible.
When a claim cannot be verified, the article should say so. Uncertainty must not be converted into a confident score or promotional statement.
Scoring and ranking
Scores are based on the published weighted framework. Editors record evidence and limitations before assigning category values, and a second review checks that the written verdict matches the score.
Commercial compensation, offer size and operator requests do not guarantee inclusion or position.
Updates and review dates
Every operator page should display a last-reviewed date. Changeable fields require routine review, while material licence, ownership, access, terms or complaint developments can trigger an immediate reassessment.
The final organization should add a specific review cadence and responsible owner before launch.
Corrections
Readers and operators may submit a correction with supporting evidence through the published contact route. PlayIndex should assess the evidence, correct material errors promptly and record substantial changes.
A correction does not give an operator control over editorial opinion, ranking or wording that remains supported by evidence.
Conflicts and affiliate relationships
Editors should disclose material conflicts to the publication. Affiliate tracking and destination management are kept separate from the fields used to calculate scores.
Sponsored placements, if introduced, must be labelled distinctly and must not be presented as editorial ranking results.
