PlayIndex may earn compensation when a reader follows an affiliate redirect and later completes a qualifying action. This disclosure explains the technical and editorial boundaries around those links.
How affiliate links are identified
Calls to action point first to a PlayIndex path in the form /go/operator-name/. The site records an affiliate_click event with the operator, current page, button location, ranking position and visible offer text before the redirect.
Real destination URLs are stored once in the central data file and must be replaced and tested before launch.
What compensation does not change
Compensation does not increase a PlayIndex score, remove a disadvantage, guarantee inclusion or allow an operator to approve editorial conclusions.
Operators without an affiliate relationship may still be reviewed when they are relevant to the comparison methodology.
Reader cost and choice
Following an affiliate link should not increase the price paid by the reader. Readers can choose not to use tracked links and can navigate directly to an operator after completing their own verification.
The site should not use fake countdowns, forced redirects or misleading button labels.
